You can
renew an existing discount card for one calendar year at your station.
Complete your application form (pdf) and hand it in at your local station.
- From 1st November, if the card is for a child or adult who is temporarily entitled to a discount card, the card is valid for 1 year (code 041).
- From 1st July, if the card is for a parent with lifetime entitlement to a discount card, the card is valid for 5 years (code 040).
Renewal of the discount card depends on your situation:
- Parents with lifetime entitlement to a discount: automatic renewal every 5 years against payment of the processing fee, so that once you are registered you won’t need to keep providing evidence that you meet the conditions.
- Children between 18 and 25 years of age and parents and children who are temporarily entitled: renewal every year.
- Children under 18: no renewal.
