Workshop Activities

The North Antwerp locomotive workshop with its unique situation in the port of Antwerp is the ideal stopping-place for maintenance of electrical and diesel locomotives. The workshop was opened in 2000 and has very efficient maintenance equipment. Here, special attention was paid to staff working conditions.

Coming from Ghent, E34 - A11 (Liefkenshoek toll tunnel)

• At Beveren follow signs tothe Liefkenshoek tunnel and then take the Thijsmans tunnel
• Exit no 13 Haven (Port) 206, 208 ... 722
• After the exit, take the direction Haven (port) on the left 206, 208, ... 602
• After approximately 2 km turn left at the company Deldo
• Access 3 to the North Antwerp complex (Antwerpen-Noord)

Coming from Ghent (via the Kennedy tunnel)

• Motorway E19 direction BREDA
• Exit in direction BERGEN OP ZOOM - HAVEN (PORT) A12
• Exit no 16 direction EKEREN - HAVEN (PORT) 1-490
• Stay right and you will arrive on the Noorderlaan
• Direction quays (kaaien) 406, 408 ... 472
• After approximately 5 km North Antwerp complex (Antwerpen Noord)
• Take access 1, after railway bridge 2, take the road on the left
• Go through the tunnel and, at the end, turn right.

Coming from Brussels

• Motorway E19 direction BREDA
• Exit in direction BERGEN OP ZOOM - HAVEN (PORT) A12
• Exit no 16 direction EKEREN - HAVEN (PORT) 1-490
