B-Excursions

The B-Excursion ticket combines

When and where to buy your B-Excursion ticket?

B-Excursion tickets can be bought in all Belgian train stations 31 days prior to the date of your trip and up to the date of departure, unless there is a booking deadline. B-Excursion tickets can also be bought at ticket vending machines (except those with a reservation or which include a STIB journey). Certain B-Excursion tickets can also be bought online.

Which train to choose?

You decide which train you want to take using our travel planner. And with the SNCB app, you can find the fastest route in real time anywhere in Belgium in a flash. The app notifies you of any disruptions on your journey and suggests alternative routes.

B-Excursions for groups

The B-Excursion ticket for groups combines

  • The return journey in 2nd class, on the same day, in trains with reserved seating.
  • Admission to the attraction
  • And where applicable, complementary journeys by bus, tram or metro

How much does the B-Excursion ticket for groups cost?

A highly attractive price if your group has the minimum number of paying passengers required (15 or 20)!

Except for fixed fares, the price varies according to the distance between your departure and destination stations.

  • Zone A: up to 34 km
  • Zone B: from 35 to 69 km
  • Zone C: from 70 km

Per 15 or 20 paying passengers (according to the B-Excursion ticket), one person will be entitled to a free ticket.

B-Excursion tickets for groups are available in 2nd class.

How to book

Booking is compulsory at the SNCB Contact Center.

Contact us at least 7 working days prior to your departure (or 12 working days if you are paying by bank transfer) by filling in the Online request form (French page or Dutch page) at thetrain.be.

What to do in unforeseen situations

If you have to cancel your trip, your B-Excursion ticket will be refunded at the counters.

  • Requests made prior to the travel date: full refund
  • Requests made on the travel date: refund minus an administrative fee of € 5 per ticket
  • Requests made after the travel date: no refund
  • B-Excursion tickets bought online: no refund

Tickets used for part of a journey will not be refunded.

Groups

The request for refund must be made at the train station at the latest 5 working days prior to the date of departure (or at the SNCB Contact Center if the tickets have not yet been issued).

If the tickets have already been issued, they will be refunded, minus an administrative fee of € 5 per paying passenger.

No refunds for requests made less than 5 working days prior to the date of departure.

Tickets used for part of a journey will not be refunded.
